Meet Dr. Emily DaSilva
Dr. Emily DaSilva has centered her career on compassionate, comfortable patient-focused quality dental care and a commitment to professional excellence through continuing education and community service.
A native New Englander, Dr. DaSilva is a summa cum laude graduate of Tufts University with a degree in Spanish and Community Health. She earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry where she also completed special externships in Oral Surgery and with the Indian Health Services in Bethel, Alaska.
Dr. DaSilva pursued advanced training by completing a General Practice Residency through Brigham and Women’s Hospital/Harvard-Wide program in Boston. As a Clinical Fellow in General Dentistry at the Harvard University School of Dental Medicine, she learned advanced techniques in cosmetic and implant dentistry and delivered care to severely medically compromised and underserved individuals throughout Harvard’s hospital system.
Dr. DaSilva is thrilled to return to her New England roots after practicing dentistry in the DC Metro area for the better part of the last decade. Throughout her career, her goal has been to provide the highest quality, personalized caring dental experience for her patients. Dr. DaSilva has been recognized by her peers as a “Top Dentist” in Rhode Island Monthly, Washingtonian Magazine and Virginia Living and a “Top 40 Under 40” dentist by the Virginia Dental Association. She has combined her professional training with a love of travel, language, and volunteerism by delivering dental care to underserved on missions with migrant worker families in Traverse City, MI, Guatemala, local Missions of Mercy, and the Northern Virginia Free Dental Clinics.
Dr. DaSilva is a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry. She is an active member of the Seattle Study Club, the Massachusetts Dental Society and American Dental Association. Dr. DaSilva served on the leadership boards of the Michigan and Northern Virginia Dental Societies and as an Adjunct Clinical Instructor for the Dental Hygiene Program at the Community College of Rhode Island.
Outside the office, Dr. DaSilva and her husband enjoy biking, beachcombing and baking with their two boys.
