Dr. Lynn Brown grew up in sunny San Diego and made her way through San Francisco, Tokyo, Oregon, and Pennsylvania before finally settling down in Providence, Rhode Island.
Dr. Brown earned her dental degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine and graduated with honors from the school’s Center for Patients with Special Needs. During dental school, she was an active member of the Pittsburgh Street Medicine team which provides resources and medical care to the unhoused population throughout downtown Pittsburgh.
Following dental school, Dr. Brown completed the Samuels Sinclair General Practice Residency at The Rhode Island Hospital. There, she received advanced training in oral surgery, managing dental emergencies, and caring for medically complex patients. Her commitment to education and compassionate care continues through her role as an attending dentist at the Rhode Island Hospital, where she helps train the next generation of dentists.
In addition to her clinical practice at Vanderpool Dental Care, Dr. Brown has served as a guest lecturer at Brown University Medical School and is an active member of the Rhode Island Dental Association and the Seattle Study Club. She is dedicated to lifelong learning and continually expands her knowledge to provide the highest quality care for her patients.
Outside the office, Dr. Brown and her partner enjoy watching movies, combing through antique stores, and trying any restaurant in a two hour radius. Dr. Brown is committed to providing thoughtful, personalized dental care and strives to make every patient feel comfortable, respected, and appreciated.
